All Natural Elderberry soap

Why make soap using Elderberries?

Elderberries, the dark purple berries of the Sambucus tree, have long been celebrated for their health benefits. While often associated with immune support, elderberries also offer remarkable advantages for skincare. Rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and other beneficial compounds, elderberry extract can help improve skin health and appearance.

Elderberry offers a natural and effective way to enhance skin health and beauty. Its potent antioxidant and vitamin content provides protection against environmental damage, reduces inflammation, and promotes a radiant complexion. Incorporating elderberry into your skincare routine can help you achieve healthier, more youthful-looking skin.  We've chosen the perfect formula of skin-loving oils & combined it with nature's antioxidant powerhouse berry, the Elderberry, to create the perfect bar of soap.

Antioxidant Powerhouse

Elderberries are packed with antioxidants, including anthocyanins, which give them their vibrant color. Antioxidants play a crucial role in protecting the skin from damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecules that can contribute to premature aging, wrinkles, and other skin problems. By neutralizing free radicals, elderberry antioxidants can help:

  • Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

  • Protect against sun damage

  • Promote a youthful complexion

Vitamin Rich Profile

Elderberries are a good source of several vitamins that are essential for skin health, including:

  • Vitamin A: Promotes cell turnover and helps keep skin looking healthy.

  • Vitamin C: A powerful antioxidant that also supports collagen production.

  • Vitamin E: Helps to moisturize and protect the skin from damage.

Skin Health Benefits of Elderberries?

The unique combination of antioxidants and vitamins in elderberries contributes to a range of skincare benefits:

  • Anti-inflammatory Properties: Elderberry extract can help soothe irritated skin and reduce redness, making it beneficial for conditions like eczema and acne.

  • Improved Hydration: Elderberries contain compounds that help the skin retain moisture, resulting in a more hydrated and supple complexion.

  • Acne Treatment: The anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties of elderberries can help combat acne-causing bacteria and reduce breakouts.

  • Brightening Effect: Elderberry extract can help brighten the skin and even out skin tone by inhibiting melanin production.

SOAP CARE
INSTRUCTIONS

How to care for & get the most from our soaps

Keep your soap dry with a self-draining soap holder that has ridges or raised nubs for the soap to fully drain on. Apply the soap bar to a washcloth or loofah and use that to lather yourself. Once used, make sure it gets air. Just coming and going from the bathroom will naturally circulate air. Before use, store your soap in a cool, dry, preferably dark area. Avoid direct light, excessive heat, and humidity. Store scented soap in a container, such as a cardboard soap box.  Dry Soap Lasts Longer: When soap sits in water it breaks down and liquifies to a gel or thick liquid state. Using a good soap holder that keeps the soap elevated will help a great deal. If possible, use a self-draining soap rack or dish that does not retain a pool of standing water. Even when the soap bar is half an inch above the water, the glycerin (cleaning agent) of the bar can draw in nearby moisture a bit. Proper Storage Preserves Soap: Glycerin is the cleaning agent in soap. It is natural and is often removed from commercial soap to be replaced with artificial detergents. This is because glycerin is extremely valuable, and they sell it off at a high profit while giving you cheap chemicals as a replacement. The glycerin in your handcrafted soap is a wonderful thing that attracts moisture and helps pull dirt from the pores of your skin. The fact that it attracts water means it can pull it right from the air and keep your soap less dry than you’d like.
