Cayenne Pain Relief Salve

This salve is formulated with infused oils using potent herbs and medicinal plants known for their pain relief, inflammation-reducing, and muscle soreness-relieving properties.

Our Cayenne Pain Relief Salve is rich in vitamins E, K, D, & A. Our salve formula contains 100% grass-fed beef tallow, which is most like human sebum which is our body's natural oils. Tallow also contains some of the same fats & lipids that human skin does, contains collagen, and easily absorbs into the skin.

This salve formula also contains Jojoba & Castor oil. Castor oil contains several fatty acids such as omega-6 & omega-9. It has also been known to have antibacterial & anti-inflammatory properties. The Jojoba oil has many of the same properties as castor oil, but it can also strengthen & improve skin elasticity. The all-natural beeswax in this formula acts as a skin barrier for retaining moisture & has antiseptic properties.

The Herbs & medicinal plants used in this salve are what really give this pain relief salve a powerful punch.

Cayenne pepper contains capsaicin. Capsaicin is well known for its anti-inflammatory & antioxidant properties. However, capsaicin's hidden talent is its pain-relieving properties & it's ability to numb the skin. Capsaicin has the ability to lower substance-p. Substance-P is responsible for sending pain response signals to the brain since it works as a neurotransmitter. It is an essential messenger protein that transmits impulses from nerve endings. Capsaicin is used to treat a wide variety of pains such as neuropathy, arthritis, fibromyalgia, migraines, sprains, back aches, and general muscle soreness in the form of topical treatments using creams or salves.

Arnica has many skin-loving benefits, including its anti-inflammatory properties. Arnica contains helenalin, which is a compound with anti-inflammatory effects known to help with reducing redness, bruising, swelling, and pain associated with insect bites and even sprains.

Ginger contains gingerols, which have been known for their anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-aging, and antiseptic properties. It has been known to help reduce swelling, improve blood circulation, and protect the skin from free radicals.

Turmeric contains curcumin, which is a powerful antioxidant with anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-septic, anti-aging, and wound healing properties.

Comfrey contains compounds known as allantoin and rosmarinic acid. These compounds can promote the growth of new skin cells and reduce inflammation with their anti-inflammatory properties. Comfrey also contains tannins, which are a plant's natural defense that protect it from bacteria. These tannins have the ability to do the same for our skin, and they also have the ability to draw out impurities from the skin.

SOAP CARE
INSTRUCTIONS

How to care for & get the most from our soaps

Keep your soap dry with a self-draining soap holder that has ridges or raised nubs for the soap to fully drain on. Apply the soap bar to a washcloth or loofah and use that to lather yourself. Once used, make sure it gets air. Just coming and going from the bathroom will naturally circulate air. Before use, store your soap in a cool, dry, preferably dark area. Avoid direct light, excessive heat, and humidity. Store scented soap in a container, such as a cardboard soap box.  Dry Soap Lasts Longer: When soap sits in water it breaks down and liquifies to a gel or thick liquid state. Using a good soap holder that keeps the soap elevated will help a great deal. If possible, use a self-draining soap rack or dish that does not retain a pool of standing water. Even when the soap bar is half an inch above the water, the glycerin (cleaning agent) of the bar can draw in nearby moisture a bit. Proper Storage Preserves Soap: Glycerin is the cleaning agent in soap. It is natural and is often removed from commercial soap to be replaced with artificial detergents. This is because glycerin is extremely valuable, and they sell it off at a high profit while giving you cheap chemicals as a replacement. The glycerin in your handcrafted soap is a wonderful thing that attracts moisture and helps pull dirt from the pores of your skin. The fact that it attracts water means it can pull it right from the air and keep your soap less dry than you’d like.
